A teacher in Brantford has been charged with sexual assault and exploitation. According to a statement, Brantford police were contacted by another department in April regarding allegations of an inappropriate relationship between a teacher and a high school student. It was alleged that the incidents occurred more than 20 years ago.

The Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit is “actively pursuing the allegations.” A teacher has been charged with sexual exploitation and sexual assault. The accused was still working for a local school board, but he had been placed on leave pending the conclusion of legal proceedings. To protect the identity of the victim, no further information is being disclosed.
