Raymond and Sandra Swash: Former pastor and wife charged with historical sexual assault

York Regional Police have charged a 64-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman following an investigation concerning the sexual assault of two kids about 30 years ago.

Police began investigating historical sexual assaults after a female victim came forward. They found that two suspects sexually assaulted two girls between 1987 and 1990.

Police have taken two people into custody in connection with an investigation into sexual assaults and exploitation of young people.

Grimsby residents Raymond and Sandra Swash were arrested on July 12.

Raymond Swash is charged with multiple offences, including four counts of sexual assault, sexual intercourse with a person under 14, two counts of sexual exploitation of a young person, and sexual intercourse with someone between the ages of 14 and 15.

Sandra Swash- the wife of pastor Raymond Swash has been charged with sexual assault and sexual exploitation of a young person.

The charges have not yet been proved in court.

The victims and perpetrators may have been linked to York Region, Hamilton, and Niagara Region churches, as well as other Ontario regions.
