Frank Prevost: South Glengarry mayor charged with sexual assault, child luring

Frank Prevost —Warden of South Glengarry Mayor and United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry is facing criminal charges following an online undercover operation. Ontario Provincial Police arrested Frank Prevost on June 8 after an online undercover operation by the OPP involving the Child Sexual Exploitation Unit, SD&G and Grenville County OPP detachments, and OPP Digital Forensics investigators. Prevost, 53, has been charged with three counts of child luring and one count of sexual assault.

The sexual assault charge, under Section 271 of the Criminal Code was laid following a separate investigation involving an adult victim, police said. As of Wednesday, Prevost was held for a video bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
