CBC news reported that in February 2017, a woman in her 50s filed a complaint of sexual assault against Dr. Nahas. She asserted that the physician inappropriately touched her and made sexual remarks during the medical appointment in November 2016. As per police Dr. Nahas was utilized at Merivale Road clinic when the supposed episode happened.
As stated in the notice of hearing posted on the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons website says a patient accused Nahas of unprofessional misconduct in November 2016.
According to the college’s website, ” Dr. Nahas has sexually abused the Patient A, made inappropriate and sexual remarks towards the Patient A and touched her body parts in a sexual manner during an medical appointment in Novemeber 2016. “
The college website also states that the allegations of Dr. Nahas professional misconduct have been referred to the college’s discipline committee.
On December 6, 2019, Dr. Nahas appeared in court for the first time.
He is restricted from his family practice by the college.
