Claude Trachy Chatham violin teacher to be sentenced on March 2

According to CBC News Claude Trachy Chatham Ont. violin teacher convicted of dozens of sex assault-related charges is set to receive sentencing on March 2.

The 73-year-old retired violin teacher from Chatham was charged in 2015 after Chatham-Kent police received 25 complaints in connection to the incidents that happened between the 1970s and 1990s.

All the complainants who were former female students of Trachy testified that Trachy touched their breasts and had them remove their blouses and bras during lessons.

Claude Trachy claimed that he only asked his female students to remove tops and bras to measure them for shoulder rests.

Trachy will receive a sentencing decision on March 2.
